Acadia's Online Indigenous Learning Series
Acadia community members are encouraged to complete the Online Indigenous Learning Units linked below to explore the information and insights shared by Indigenous Elders, youth, community leaders, scholars, and activists.
Acadia’s Campus Auntie, Darlene Peters Copeland, serves as a guide throughout the journey of the Indigenous learning series.
- Juksutui - Provides information about the impacts of colonialism that persist in Canada
- Nesutmalsewu'ti - (“Do you understand” in Mi’kmaw), explores Indigenous Peoples’ teaching and experiences more deeply
- Nike - Focuses on Indigenous worldviews, values and ways of being
These units can be imported into your Moodle courses and Acadia Faculty are encouraged to include them in their courses, where students can upload their Certificates of Completion to receive recognition or grades for their self-directed decolonization work.
